Online Marketplaces – Statement

IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGE – Buying products online from businesses that don’t give a UK address  increases the risk to consumers 

Online platforms are not always the seller of the products on their websites and often act as an  intermediary between an independent company and the buyer. 

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), part of the Department for Business, Energy and  Industrial Strategy, has issued an important Product Safety Message asking the public to check who they  are buying from.
