Wish's Trust & Safety team ensures that reports of dangerous or recalled products are actioned on, regardless of whether they're reported from a consumer, merchant, brand owner, media outlet, test lab, or regulatory agency.
Wish’s Trust & Safety team investigates and takes action on product listings based on their cause for concern, regional restrictions, etc.
Below are summaries of the specific procedures set in place to address product safety concerns:
Geo-blocking
A geo-block is a takedown of a product listing from the Wish platform but is limited to restricting accessibility/visibility of certain non-compliant items by users from specific jurisdictions or regions.
Platform-wide ‘Takedown’
A Wish product listing ‘takedown’ is a listing that's removed from the global Wish platform due to global product non-compliance and/or safety concerns. Takedowns are distinct from formal recalls, as they occur pursuant to specific requests to Wish’s T&S team. Likely, reported by third parties (such as regulators or safety labs) that test-purchase and conduct safety testing on the product(s), and provide Wish with adequate documentation.
You can report potentially illegal, dangerous, or non-compliant product listings in accordance with our Community Guidelines to report-abuse@wish.com.
*Please note that Wish is an e-commerce marketplace that connects buyers and merchants (sellers) together.
